Description.
Occasional bleeding from the nose is relatively normal due to the rich supply of tiny vessels in the nasal cavity. However, frequent nose bleeds that are heavy and hard to stop should be reported to a doctor.
Causes.
Nose bleeds may be caused by allergies, trauma, sinusitis, colds, deviated septum, hypertension, weather changes, the use of blood thinning medications, and alcohol abuse.
